What type of food does Healthy as a MOTHA serve?

We serve plant-based Caribbean fusion cuisine, inspired by Dominican and Trinidadian food traditions. Our dishes celebrate island flavors, spices, and comfort foods—reimagined with a modern, vegan twist.

Is everything on the menu vegan?

Yes. All of our food is 100% plant-based—no meat, no dairy, just real ingredients and big island flavor.

Do you offer gluten-free options?

Yes, we offer gluten-free options, and many of our dishes are naturally gluten-free. Please let our team know about any dietary needs when ordering.

How do I get to HAAM using NYC mass transit?

Getting to HAAM is easy by subway or bus: By Subway: Take the G train to Metropolitan Ave — about a 5–7 minute walk Take the L train to Lorimer St — about a 7–10 minute walk By Bus: B48, B60, or B62 buses stop nearby along Union Ave and surrounding streets We recommend using Google Maps or the MTA app for real-time transit updates and the fastest route.

Do you offer takeout and delivery?

Yes! We offer takeout and delivery through select delivery platforms. Availability may vary by day and time.

Do you cater events or private dinners?

Yes. We offer catering, pop-ups, private dinners, and special events, including festivals and brand collaborations. Contact us through our website for details. Notice needed for catering is 48 hours.

Do you have a bar?

Yes! Healthy as a Motha features a full bar offering all spirits, beers, and wines. We’re especially proud of our extensive selection of imported Caribbean beers and imported Caribbean rums. We also offer a one-of-a-kind fresh chopped coconut bar, where coconuts are opened fresh—bringing true island vibes and a unique experience you won’t find anywhere else in the neighborhood.

Do you change your menu seasonally?

Yes. Our menu changes seasonally, featuring new dishes inspired by fresh ingredients and Caribbean traditions.

Can non-vegans enjoy HAAM?

Absolutely. Many of our guests aren’t vegan—they just love flavor-forward food. HAAM is for everyone.
